Today (I wrote this text on the 20th of April, 2026), I was working 13.5 hours. It was the longest working day I’ve ever experienced. After finishing my run, I realized that I did not want to break this record.
For those who are on my blog for the first time, I must write it. I do not do street photography for money. I also don’t write for money. What’s more interesting, I do not monetize my blog anyhow. I am working in a broadly defined finance area. During the last day, I was heavily working on preparing financial statements. Also, in the previous week, I had been working as I would work, not five days for 8 eight hours, but over 7 days for eight hours. I must admit that the last few days in my job have been really hectic. That’s how I broke my record, which I did not want to break. Of course, today, I was not able to do street photography.
To be honest, I am writing this text with my eyes closed.
I do not have the energy to write. That’s how my working days sometimes look. The only thing I know is that, sooner or later, I will have more time for my creative passion. During such days, I do not see my professional job as an advantage. Still, in general, I stressed many times that living from accountancy provides me with financial independence. Thanks to doing it, I do what I want to do. The fruits of my artistic work can be found on the www.adammazek.com blog. I sometimes wonder what my life would be like without my professional job. In general, I tend to think that I would spend most of my time reading, writing, walking, and doing street photography. Still, sometimes I think it would not look that optimistic.
