Today (I wrote this text on the 23rd of May, 2026), I took 430 pictures and over 25k steps during one single, long photo-walk. Am I proud of myself?
Of course, I am. I would be a liar if I said that I am not proud of myself. I believe that my long photo-walks echo my long time spent in front of the computer in my professional job (please remember, my Dear Friend, that I work in a broadly defined finance area). During the last weeks or even months, I had so much overtime that I simply felt I needed to redirect this accumulating energy somehow. Of course, rucking is one of the best ways to do it. Still, long photo walks are another part of the activities that I plan to do until the end of my life. Of course, these long photo walks won’t be done by me as frequently as the shorter ones, whether with a heavy rucksack or not. I simply feel that I will be diversifying my walks sometimes.
Today, I was walking in the Śródmieście district and the Praga Południe and Praga Północ districts.
Did I enjoy this walk? Yes, without this pure childish enjoyment, I would not do all these things. As a curiosity, I will add that I went to one of the antique shops in the Warsaw city center. I bought a few CDs to take to my car. The truth is that I felt that I needed to diversify my music in the car as well. I bought two Deep Purple CDs (”Deep Purple in Rock” and “Perfect Strangers”), two Rush albums (something like “the best of”), Black Sabbath (”Sabbath Bloody Sabbath”), Grand Funk Railroad (”All The Girls In The World Beware!!!”), Led Zeppelin (”Led Zeppelin IV”), and Jimmy Page and Robert Plant (”No Quarter”).
I will be listening to Deep Purple today. Why? I do not know why. Undoubtedly, I will do it while on my way to my beloved Parents’ house in Brok. I cannot wait to listen to the music and visit my Parents!
