Between the 13th and the 17th of April, 2026, during a 40-hour work week, I was working not 5, but 7 days (over 56 hours).
Did I get crazy? Perhaps I did. After all, I was not doing street photography in the last days. What is worse, I was not rucking. Each day, I was simply too tired mentally. Please remember, my Dear Friend, that I work in a broadly defined finance area. During the last few days, I was working hard to prepare the Financial Statements. I was (and still am, as it is an ongoing process) in a truly hard period. I literally did not have time for anything else, including my creative passion. That’s how sometimes my life looks. I am focused on my professional work in 90%. Today (I wrote this text on the 17th of April, 2026), I decided to write this “7 days in 5 days” text, but earlier, it was not so obvious.
While writing this text, it was late evening, and I literally did not know what I wanted to express.
Luckily, today is Friday. I know I will be sleeping for many hours during the upcoming few days. Another interesting fact is that I was supposed to have two days off next week. Due to the hectic job, I had to move these days off to June 2026. The truth is that I feel responsible for everything I do in my professional job. That’s why when I see there are many critical things to do, I do it, even if I know that I won’t take photos on Warsaw’s streets. I know this hectic period won’t last forever. That’s why I try to accept it, do my job, take a rest, and do street photography during the nearest weekend. Luckily, I will also be rucking with a 37.5 kg (83 lbs) backpack on my back and shoulders.
