Today (I wrote this text on the 6th of May, 2026), I won’t write about backlog in my professional job.
Sometimes, in a broadly defined finance world, such a backlog appears. Nevertheless, yesterday, even though I was working remotely, I did not do street photography nor write anything. I worked almost twelve hours, and after finishing my job, I did not have the energy to write. Still, today, I decided to write two texts to reduce yesterday’s backlog. Does it mean that today I was working normally (eight hours) and did street photography? No. Again, today, I was working almost 12 hours for the second day in a row. Still, I felt that I simply had more energy and broadly defined mental, internal resources to write something. Also, I decided to write the second text. I will publish it after this text, and its name is “I’m still standing.”
The truth is that I was writing these two texts simultaneously.
I wrote many times that I want to write for writing’s sake. I believe in the written word. I think I’ve read too many books in my life not to be convinced that there is a deep sense in writing, in leaving a written word for posterity. Of course, I am aware that not every text will be groundbreaking. Also, I often repeat myself. I’ve been regularly writing for nine years (I started writing in a foreign language, English [please remember, my Dear Friend, that I am Polish], in May 2017). I hope that I will be living for the next fifty years (I wrote this text while being forty-one years old), in good shape. That’s why I believe that, in general, from the perspective of decades, I will manage to write at least a few groundbreaking and profound texts. Keep your fingers crossed, my Dear Friend.
