I wrote this text on the 20th of May, 2026. It was a day when I could say that five days off are ahead of me.
Tomorrow, I plan to take a long walk. Perhaps I will choose the direction to the Ursynów district. The weather should be ideal for a long walk. I plan to take a rucksack, but without the heavy barbell plates. The only thing I plan to take is a book (I will need it once I stop for a rest at the coffee shop). The long walks (I believe that I will be doing them a little bit more frequently) are becoming a part of my photographic journey. I believe that tomorrow’s walk will last 4-6 hours (compared to my standard walks lasting between 1,5-2,5 hours).
To be honest, I haven’t done such long photo walks since the beginning of my photographic journey (it all started in October 2015) until the 11th of March, 2026. Why did I start to do it? It happened accidentally. Between the 11th and 13th of March, 2026, my employee had a cyber attack.
Suddenly, I had three days off. I treated them as a bonus.
Thus, I decided to take many more steps than usual (of course, without a heavy rucksack). Then, I realized I could sometimes diversify my photo walks by adding the longer ones. Undoubtedly, during these photo walks, I will be a light traveler, not a heavy one. I can imagine that I will leave walking with the heaviest possible weight (for today, it is 40.5 kg [89 lbs]) for weekends. Also, I can imagine I will still be walking with a heavy rucksack (weighing 30 kg [66 lbs]) to my office job. I will be diversifying all these things, and sometimes I will prefer to take longer walks with a light rucksack, or shorter walks with a heavy rucksack. For now, I am simply glad that five days off are ahead of me.
