I wrote the “I do not have any explanations for my pictures” text on the 22nd of March, 2026.
On that day, while rucking (with a rucksack weighing 37.5 kg [83 lbs]), I took over 16k steps. Also, I made three breaks on the benches. I took “only” over 200 pictures. Why “only?” It is because one day earlier I took 416 photos. Of course, over 200 pictures is still a great result. After all, when I take 100 pictures in a single photo walk (it does not always happen), I feel content. I noticed that in the last posts, I am much more focused on the number of photos I took, but not on their quality. Also, I do not try to even explain my photographs. Perhaps their source is deep in my soul. I see the world through the prisms of my mood. Still, such explanations, for me, are insufficient.
The more I do street photography (I started doing it in October, 2015), the more I see and feel that I simply do not have any explanations for my pictures.
I am just walking, musing, and if something catches my eye, I am photographing it. There is no simple explanation regarding my creative process in street photography. I believe that I won’t be able to fully describe and explain my photos even within the next 60 years (I wrote this text while being forty years old). How happy I am that I do not have to know the answers to all the questions. The truth is that in my professional job, I need to answer many questions. On the other hand, in the art world, I do not have answers to anything. I love switching between these two worlds: the one of perfect, numerical order, and the second one, the world of broadly understood creation, where even chaos or chance can make a difference.
