I want to write and create a masterpiece, the magnum opus of my life… but I don’t have the time and energy.
Do I believe what I say too easily? Do I really have a lack of time to create something truly profound? I am afraid so. For example, today (I wrote this text on the 13th of April, 2026), I was working 11 hours (please, remember, my Dear Friend, that I work in a broadly defined finance world). Thus, I did not have the time and energy to go out and do street photography. Also, I felt I did not have the resources to write a subsequent text for my blog. I told myself
“I don’t have the time and energy” to write a text.
Then, suddenly, I realized I had a topic to write about, and I decided to do it. After all, in writing I trust. I know that most of my texts won’t be groundbreaking. I think it is simply impossible to write a real masterpiece each time. Still, I do not like my thoughts when I realize that due to my professional work, I do not have enough time for taking pictures on Warsaw’s streets and writing. I know that many times I was stressing that my professional job is my advantage, because I am financially independent, and I do not create anything, thinking about what my potential clients would think about it.
Still, like everything else in this world, my professional work also has its disadvantages.
The main one relates to, you guessed it, my Dear Friend, lack of time and energy to create. That’s the way it is. I usually try not to overthink this topic. I do not know if it would be good for me if I had an unlimited amount of time without any constraints. I sometimes doubt if I would use this free time creatively and positively.
