I wrote the “In intermittent fasting, I trust.” post on the 20th of February, 2026.
Today, I want to state that starting from tomorrow, I will be fasting.
Oh, you are doing intermittent fasting daily. You wrote umpteenth times that you do not eat before 7 p.m. So what’s the point in stating that since tomorrow you will be fasting?
Undoubtedly, you could ask me, my Dear Friend. Yes, but starting tomorrow, I plan not to eat for the next 6 days. What’s my current record? It is 4 days without eating. Did I get crazy? Perhaps I did. Still, I am internally convinced I won’t hurt myself anyhow. I wrote many times that the normal state of the human body is insatiability. When the stomach is full of food all the time, it is bad for your health, my Dear Friend. Why do I trust intermittent fasting?
I have no doubts that I won’t hurt myself by not eating.
Food is for people, not people are for food. In the past, humanity survived many periods of famine. If we could not survive it, I would not write this text. From an evolutionary point of view, our organisms do not differ that much compared to those of the first people who lived 200k years ago. I am wondering if I will manage to break my record. What if not? Nothing. I will be live. Still, due to the fact that I am walking less in 2026 than in 2025 (mainly due to my right calf injury, which happened in the middle of January 2026), I want to take a radical step and challenge myself regarding fasting.
I read in one of Dr. Jason Fung’s books about fasting that healthy adult people (not pregnant or breastfeeding women) should fast for two weeks yearly, to increase their chances of avoiding cancer. That’s why I believe that fasting will increase my health. There is no other option. Keep your fingers crossed for me, my Dear Friend. In intermittent fasting, I trust.
