While walking, rucking, and doing street photography, I often let my mind wander freely. What does it mean?
It means that when I walk by myself, I do not want to think about anything, and my mind is entirely at ease. I forget about my office job and about my whole life issues. I think I’m contemplating. I want my mind to wander freely without any needs, restrictions, constrictions, or demands. Of course, often my thoughts go in various directions. It is not the case that I am shut down while walking. My thoughts can go practically everywhere. Still, I would say I do not try to fight with them. Whatever my mind gives me, I accept and embrace it without overthinking.
I walk, I think, I live, I am.
That’s what I have to say about it. I wander without any expectations while doing street photography. I do not expect anything. The same is with my thoughts. I do not push them in this and that direction. I let it go wherever it wants. Often, while walking, I change directions without any reason. I do it because I simply want to do it. That’s why, for me, walking is the essence of freedom. I think most people nowadays are underestimating the fact that they can simply walk. When I walk, I feel my mind is resting.
I think that only sleep is a better way to relax my mind.
How happy I am that I can simply walk without any aims and expectations and let my mind do whatever it wants. I hope that you have similar activities in your life, my Dear Friend. The simple act of walking and not having a necessity to think about anything is one of the greatest things people can do for themselves. Free yourself, my Dear Friend, from all the constraints your mind gives to you, and simply enjoy the fact that you can walk and be here and now, without overthinking.
