Today I will write about one photographic exercise shown to me by my teachers from my art school.
While I was attending the lessons, I often came with many photographs. Sometimes they were printed, or sometimes I brought them as digital files. The fact is that many times I got too many pictures. Once such a situation occurred, I had been told to make an earlier selection in my house. The fact is that I always did it, but it was still not enough.
Nevertheless, since the beginning of my photographic journey (since October 2015), I have taken so many pictures that I hardly control them. This situation has lasted until today.
Ok, I will go back to the main topic of the photographic exercise. The fact is that when I brought too many pictures to the school, my teachers (Bartek Mokrzycki and Tomek Grzyb) often gave me special photographic activities, that is:
a) making an additional selection of pictures in a short period;
b) put images into different schemes, patterns, collages, sets;
c) I was asked to play with my photos as if they would be a jigsaw!
I loved this kind of photographic exercise. Indeed, while doing that, I felt like a child playing puzzles.
It was an excellent game and fun for me. Thanks to these photographic exercises, I do not have problems selecting my pictures and making awesome collages of them. My work with images became very efficient.
By the way, once again, I would like to thank my teachers and friends from school for a collective two years of study!
Those were extraordinary times! Mainly, I would like to thank two gentlemen mentioned above, thanks to whom I learned a lot about photography and art as a whole. Lessons brought me a lot of inspiration and wisdom. Thanks to the knowledge they provided, I am the kind of photographer I am.
Indeed, two years spent with all the teachers and classmates in the darkroom, photographic studio, and walking in the open air were honestly “good, old days” for me.
