Today, on the 29th of November, 2025, I had my first photo walk, without a single break, with the rucksack weighing 37.5 kg (83 lbs).
It took me almost half a year to have such a walk (I started rucking with this hectic weight on the 1st of June, 2025). I believe that the cold temperature (+2 degrees Celsius [36 degrees Fahrenheit] ) and the fact that I was walking in the www.adammazek.com t-shirt, sneakers, and shorts (without a winter cap and gloves!) helped me make the decision not to sit down and take a break in the cold. It helped me to finish this hectic walk without a break. I took almost 11k steps and took over 170 pictures. I think all these facts mean I am in my prime time. Yesterday, I wrote that I am happy to be doing street photography in the next two days.
Today, I must confirm my state of happiness.
I cannot wait to go outside tomorrow and cherish the mundane Polish reality. Of course, tomorrow I plan to walk again with a backpack weighing 37.5 kg. The temperatures should be the same as today. Do I plan to walk without a break? Without any single stop on the bench? I do not know. As usual, I will be making decisions while walking. I know that I can have many plans towards my photo walks, but the best solution is not to have any plan at all and have no expectations.
Many times, when I had some plans for my walks, reality forced me to change these plans.
Today, I hope I am a little bit smarter than I was earlier. That’s why I do not expect myself to take another walk with such a heavy burden without a break. I know I wrote in the past that I would start considering increasing this weight only after I manage to take three subsequent walks with 37.5 kg without a single break. Still, I doubt it would happen in 2025.
