I wrote the “Sooner than expected?” text on the 22nd of January, 2026.
It was a day when nothing spectacular happened in my life. Still, I quietly believe that something unexpected will happen tomorrow. What? I plan to take a short walk without crutches. I remember that the doctor who did an ultrasound examination of my injured calf mentioned that if I felt better, I could try to take a short walk (of course, without a heavy rucksack) within the next few days. I do not remember if I mentioned this fact earlier. Still, the truth is that as of today, I walk as if I were not hobbling anymore. Also, tomorrow, I will have a day off from my office job. That’s why I consider taking a light walk sooner than expected. Of course, I will make up the final decision tomorrow, after getting up at 12 p.m.
The truth is that there is still a lot of snow outside, and it may still be slippery on Warsaw’s pavements.
While writing this text, it is -11 degrees Celsius outside (12.2 degrees Fahrenheit). Tomorrow, it should be something around -5 degrees Celsius (23 degrees Fahrenheit). Does it mean I plan to walk in sneakers, shorts, and the www.adammazek.com t-shirt? Not necessarily. First of all, I plan to walk in winter boots. I do not want to slip on ice once again. Also, I plan to wear long jeans, a winter cap, gloves, and a hoodie. I want to stress this: the aim of tomorrow’s walk will not be to cool my body down. My potential walk would aim to check whether I am able to walk without crutches. Undoubtedly, I will have a slow-motion of my walk. That’s why I prefer to spend this short walk wearing warm clothes.
On the other hand, I think I will have the www.adammazek.com t-shirt on me. I may take off a hoodie for the last twenty minutes of walk to cool down my body in the last part of my walking. Let’s see what the future holds.
