I wrote this text on the 9th of April, 2026. It was a day when I was doing street photography (and rucking with a backpack weighing 30 kg [66 lbs]) for the 3rd day in a row.
I had to do it. I believe street photography became my obsession, and it liberates me. From the chronological duty, I will add that today I took over 15k steps and took almost 200 pictures. As usual, I am proud of these results. Tomorrow, I will take a break from doing street photography. I will have to rest by sitting in front of my laptop (please, remember, my Dear Friend, that I am an accountant). After all, I still have a lot to do in my professional job. I work because I need to pay bills, like 99% of other people living on this planet. Still, I am doing street photography, writing, and managing the www.adammazek.com blog, because I want to realize my soul.
I want to leave behind something profound.
I want my voice to be heard a thousand years after I’m dead. Once I am dead, I want to be remembered thanks to my creative activities. Am I vain? Perhaps I am. Still, I believe in a broadly defined creative process. I believe that taking pictures on the streets somehow liberates my heart, mind, and soul. It makes me feel like flying high, even when I am as sober as a judge. I cannot wait for the next photo walk, even if I will be walking in the street for the umpteenth time. I wrote this text while being forty-one years old. I hope to be creatively productive for the subsequent sixty years. Of course, I do not know if I will manage to do it. I hope that intermittent fasting, exposing my body to cold, and rucking will increase my chances of living longer in good shape.
