I wrote this text on the 17th of September, 2022. It was a day when I had some insights regarding temperature perception.
During the day mentioned above, I was doing street photography. It was 14 degrees Celsius outside (57,2 degrees Fahrenheit). While walking, I asked myself whether it was cold. It was difficult to answer this question myself. Why? Because for me, the temperature was cold, but I was not freezing. The truth is that half a month earlier, there were hot temperatures in Warsaw. For me, it was too hot. Thus, I felt the temperature was cold while walking in the www.adammazek.com t-shirt at 14 degrees Celsius.
On the other hand, I remember that after winter, when it was the same temperature, I felt that it was warm for me. I just feel that temperature perception depends on our prior experiences. After winter, 14 degrees Celsius was warm. After the hot summer, it seemed to me like cold weather.
Today, I feel that I must get used to cold temperatures again. I can see that this process will become cyclical.
I can imagine that after winter, e.g., +10 degrees Celsius will be warm for me, and after summer, it will be cold. Observing and analyzing how my body reacts to many conditions is fascinating. Undoubtedly, since I started intermittent fasting (Christmas 2020), taking cold showers (April 2021), and exposing my body to frigid temperatures by walking in summer clothes freezing (September 2021), I started to feel, hear and listen to my body much better than earlier. How happy I am that autumn is slowly breaking through Poland. I hear from many people that, for them, it is sad that summer has ended and the temperature has fallen within the last few days. When I listen to it, I smile politely and think I cannot wait to expose my body to cold while doing street photography in frigid temperates.
