I wrote this text on the 1st of July, 2022. It was a peak of the heatwave that appeared in Poland at the end of June. I hope that it was the last heatwave day.
I would be naive if I presumed it was the last heatwave during the summer of 2022. There will likely be more of them in the upcoming weeks. Still, I regard the power of June’s sun as the most burning and exhausting. Why do I write such texts about the weather? It is because hot temperatures negatively influence my mood and ability to act. To be more precise, I do not have the energy to operate. Walking for two hours and doing street photography at 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) is impossible for me. I cannot overcome it anyhow. Perhaps, it is because I am getting older year by year. Years ago, I could stroll in the middle of a heatwave. Still, today, I cannot do it. Moreover, I do not see the possibility of being active during hot summer days in the future.
How happy I am that the climate in Poland is rather cold.
There are three scorching months (June, July, and August). Of course, we can feel hot temperatures in April, May, or September. Still, during these months, we can feel a relatively lukewarm temperature. In coldness, I trust! I am delighted that most months in Poland are rather cold. Thus, I can experience coldness and have good fun with it.
I cannot wait to do street photography while wearing summer clothes (including the www.adammazek.com t-shirt) in frigid temperatures. I genuinely miss this activity, especially during the peak of the heat wave. While writing about all these things, I understand that the global warming issue is one of the worst crises humanity will ever face. That will be all regarding writing on the last heatwave day.
