In my opinion, an artist should possess his inner, imagined, unreal world.
Moreover, theĀ artist is someone who has a lot of visions and tries to show and broaden all his views and feelings through artĀ creation like paintings, writings, music, sculpture, etc.
I believe that inner worlds in artistsā minds are the shelter for them, asylum separating them from the external world. Simultaneously and paradoxically artistās inner imagination is the place where he continually is getting out of his comfort zone.
I am sure that everyone has the chance to become an authentic artist.
Unfortunately, not everyone possesses the talent to sing, dance, or paint accurately. Now appears photography. I am sure that everyone can master photography. One of the options to level up your skills could be reading this blog. I try to focus on inspirational matters, not technical issues (there areĀ tones of them on the internet). If you are sincere and authentic in images made by you, you are close to becomingĀ an artist. Today, this possibility is given to practically all the people who do not live in countries at war or those ruined by the grave crisis. By the way, if all humans can become an artist, why treat all other people (including photographers) as competitors?
I do not treat other photographers and artists like competitors. For me, they are mates to play on our common playground.
But what exactly the artist creates? Yeah, we all know that: art. But what is art? For me, it is the possibility to unleash feelings and thoughts (not necessarily those positive) in the recipientās mind, the viewerās eyes, or the listenerās ears. It is not easy to do, but as I said before: we all can learn it. One of the ways to do that (via photography) is to try to re-interpret visible reality on your pictures.
For example, I always try to present my feelings and thoughts on my images.
I try to somehow unconsciously communicate with visualĀ aspects that appear in frontĀ of my eyes. Indeed, I try to do that by presenting understatements, minimalism, abstraction, or geometry. The funny thing is that writing also brings me more and more pleasure. If it brings me joy, why would I stop to do that?
To summarize: if you create something, be authentic. Believe me, that itās the most crucial issue in taking a new step on your way to becoming an artist.
