Yesterday (I wrote this text on the 1st of May, 2026), unfortunately, I broke my record regarding my office work. I was working for 14.5 hours.
Am I proud of my new record? Of course, I am not. Indeed, I was exhausted after finishing my work after 14.5 hours yesterday. I do not think I need to mention that I was not rucking or doing street photography that day. What is worse, I did not write a new text. I did not have the mental power to do it. Today, the situation was better, but not ideal. I was working “only” 10 hours. That’s how it looks sometimes in terms of my professional job (please remember, my Dear Friend, that I am working in a broadly defined finance area – the main reason for working so many hours was not only the month-end close, but also preparing financial statements). I hope that I will be able to use this over time and do street photography.
The truth is that during April, I was not doing street photography as frequently as I would like to.
Perhaps I will take a trip to do street photography in the Lithuanian city of Kaunas. I do not know it yet. What I know is that I am happy that the weekend is coming up, and during the next two days I will be able not only to sleep long, but also to walk and photograph whatever attracts my eyes. I cannot wait for it. Also, I cannot wait until the process of preparing the Financial Statements is over. Once it happens, I should work normally, without working 14.5 hours per day. I will finish this writing. I must go to sleep. This tremendous activity is crucial in terms of being rested and being able to carry heavy weights. After all, tomorrow will not only be a street photography day, but also a rucking day.
