Today (I wrote this text on the 2nd of April, 2026), quite unexpectedly, I went outside to do street photography. I love such surprises!
I took over 13k steps (without a heavy rucksack) and took over 220 photos. Considering I did not expect to take photos on that day, I believe it was a great result. I think that whatever number of photos I take on Warsaw’s streets, I will always be happy. Did I write that I love street photography? I think I wrote it many times. In my case, writing that I love street photography is cliché. It is like writing about nothing. Do you know why I write such things, my Dear Friend? It is because I am tired. I wrote many times that fatigue kills creativity. That’s why I am writing about nothing. Unfortunately, I think that during the last day, weeks, or even months, it happens often.
Does it mean that I will resign from writing? Never!
There is nothing else I can do for myself, for society, and for future generations than writing and doing street photography. I believe I will be remembered not for how many financial statements I prepared in my life, but for the kinds of photographs and texts I published on my blog. In the creative process, I trust. Even though I know that many of my photos and texts won’t be groundbreaking, I believe that some of them will be meaningful and profound. Even if I won’t be famous during my lifetime (luckily!) , it does not mean that I will be sad.
On the contrary, I am the most average man in this world, and I reject money, fame, and fortune, because all these things are an illusion. These are traps where millions of people are stuck, because they think they are chasing happiness. Happiness comes not externally, but internally. I will finish writing text about surprises.
